Celebration of 40th Anniversary of China-Botswana Diplomatic Relations Held in Beijing
Organized by CPAFFC and the Botswana Embassy in China, the celebration of 40th Anniversary of China-Botswana Diplomatic Relations was held in Beijing on January 15, 2014. Mr. Hu Sishe, Vice President of CPAFFC, H.E. Sasara George, Ambassador of Botswana to China and other 300 guests from all fields attended the celebration.
In his speech, Mr. Hu said that in the past 40 years, the bilateral relations have witnessed sound development. The two countries have conducted effective cooperation in the fields of politics, trade and culture, and maintained close coordination in international affairs. The CPAFFC is willing to work with the Botswanan side, and take the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations, to further the China-Botswana traditional friendship, expand the mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, so as to let the China-Botswana friendship pass on generation after generation.
Ambassador George said in his speech that Botswana appreciates China’s great help to its development and believes that the bilateral relations will thrive, and the two countries will endure the journey together.
Celebration of the 65th Anniversary of China-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations Held in Beijing
Organized by CPAFFC and Embassy of Vietnam in Beijing, Celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Vietnam was held in Beijing on January 15th, 2015. Vice Chairman Ji Bingxuan of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Vice President Feng Zuoku of CPAFFC and other 500 guests from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Department of CPC Central Committee, Ministry of National Defense, Embassy of Vietnam, diplomatic corps, and media organizations attended the celebration. Assistant Minister Liu Jianchao of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho of Vietnam delivered speeches at the celebration.
The 3rd China’s Influence Forum Held in Beijing
On 9th January, 2015, the China’s Influence Forum, ?hosted by Global People, and supported by the CPAFFC and the People’s Daily, was held at the Auditorium of the CPAFFC. President Li Xiaolin of the CPAFFC, Former President Mr. Mei Zhaorong of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. ??
In her speech, Madam Li Xiaolin said, with over 3 decades’ reform and opening up, China has now become the 2nd largest economy of the world. She encouraged more people from all walks of life to join us in the people-to-people diplomatic work to enhance China’s influence.?
The 300 attendants, include scholars and experts from the State Council, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China National School of Administration, and representatives from both Chinese and foreign enterprises.?
Vice President Xie Yuan Meets with Vice Foreign Minister of Honduras
On Jan. 7th, 2015, the CPAFFC Vice President Xie Yuan held a meeting with Mr. Madrid?Ochoa, Deputy-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Honduras.
Vice President Xie Yuan extended his welcome to Mr. Ochoa. He recalled the history of friendly contact between the CPAFFC and Honduras. He said, the CPAFFC will always work well on people-to-people friendship to Honduras as usually. Mr. Ochoa thanked President Xie for holding the meeting in his tight schedule, and introduced the related status of Honduras.?
Banquet Celebrating 35th Anniversary of China-Ecuador Diplomatic Ties Held in Beijing
On Jan. 6th, 2015, the CPAFFC hosted a banquet for celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ecuador. Zhang Baowen, Vice-Chairperson of The National People''s Congress (NPC) of the People''s Republic of China, Rafael Correa, President of the Republic of Ecuador, Li Xiaolin, President of the CPAFFC, Qian Hongshan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Ministry of China were present at the banquet.
In his address, Vice-Chairperson Zhang Baowen said, China and Ecuador are friendly countries in tradition. Since the two countries established the diplomatic ties 35 yeas ago, the relations between the two countries has been developing fast and fully; while the mutual political trust is being enhanced constantly. The continuously deepened pragmatic cooperation between the two countries further combined the interest of the two countries. Ecuador has become the most important target country for investment. The scope of cultural exchanges is enlarged as well. Besides, the two countries also collaborate closely in international multilateral mechanisms including UN, and support each other in great issues such as human right. The people’s friendship is developing constantly.?
President Correa delivered a warm speech. He spoke highly of the relations and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. He said, Ecuador will strengthen the contact with China and further deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Vice President Xie Yuan Meets with President of Brazil-China Friendship Association
On 22nd, Dec, Vice President Xie Yuan met with Mr. Danillo Santos, President of Brazil-China Friendship Association who was attending the 2014 award ceremony of the Brilliance of China-Choice for Chinese Culture Promoters of the Year.
Mr. Xie extended his warm welcome to Mr. Danillo Santos. The two parts exchanged their views on the exchange activites between the two associations for the coming year.
CPAFFC Delegation Led by Vice President Xie Yuan Visits Micronesia and Guam
At the invitation of Micronesia China Friendship Association and Mr. Eddie Calvo, Governor of Guam, the delegation led by Mr. Xie Yuan, Vice President of CPAFFC visited the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM in short) and Guam of the United States Between Dec. 13 and Dec. 20. During the visit to FSM, the delegation had meetings respectively with Honorable Mr. Emanuel Mori, President of FSM, Mr. Lorin Robert, Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs of the national government of FSM and Mr. John Ehsa, Governor of Pohnpei, and held meetings with Mr. Duhlen Soumwei, President of Micronesia China Friendship Association and the members of the association as well. Besides, the delegation attended the welcome reception hosted by Micronesia China Friendship Association and visited College of Micronesia-FSM.
During the visit to Guam, the delegation met with Honorable Mr. Eddie Calvo, Governor of Guam, Ms. Mana Taijeron, Deputy Administrator and Mr. George Chiu, President of Guam Chinese Association.
This visit is the first time for our association to send a delegation to the above-mentioned country and region. The delegation has widely got in touch with local political leaders, important organizations and people who are friendly to China and had a good understanding of the local conditions after the successful visit.

Bangladesh China Cultural, Economic & Mass Communication Center Delegation Visits China
Entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the CPAFFC received a 10-person delegation headed by Mr. Altaf Hossain Choudhury from the Bangladesh China Cultural, Economic & Mass Communication Center between 9th December and 13th December. The delegation visited Beijing and Guangdong. Mr. Feng Zuoku, Vice President of the CPAFFC and Mr. Fu Lang, President of the Guangdong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries met with the delegation respectively.?
Vice President Xie Yuan Meeting with an Iowa Friend
Vice President Xie Yuan held a meeting with President Tony Joseph of Muscatine-China Initiatives Committee of Iowa, USA, on December 10, 2014. VP Xie commended the positive contributions made by the Committee to promoting the exchanges between Muscatine and China. President Joseph expressed his gratitude to the CPAFFC for extending gracious support to the Committee’s programs. They also exchanged views on the plan of exchanges and cooperation for the year of 2015.?
