On July 28, 2025, the First China-Latin America Young Entrepreneurs Exchange was successfully held at the Zhongguancun Life Science Park in Beijing. The event was jointly hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. The exchange was themed "China-Latin America Youth Discuss Entrepreneurship, Supporting Global Peace and Development". Shen Xin, Vice President of CPAFFC; Wang Yanxia, Vice President of the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; and Diego Marcos, Executive Chairman of the Civil Association for Argentina-China Cooperation and Head of the Latin American Youth Entrepreneurs Delegation, attended the event and delivered remarks. Nearly 70 young entrepreneurs from China and Latin America, specializing in cutting-edge fields such as biotechnology, life sciences, and artificial intelligence, attended the exchange.

Vice President Shen Xin stressed that young people are the driving force of innovation and entrepreneurship. Their entrepreneurial endeavors not only affect individuals and enterprises, but also carry the responsibility of contributing to national prosperity, regional cooperation, and global sustainable development. The openness, inclusiveness, and win-win spirit demonstrated by young entrepreneurs are themselves a positive force for upholding multilateralism and advancing peaceful development. It is hoped that Chinese and Latin American youth entrepreneurs would take this exchange as a starting point, actively participate in international cooperation platforms offered by the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative, and harness China's development momentum to contribute their youthful energy to building a peaceful and prosperous world.

Diego Marcos noted that, in the face of pressing challenges in global environmental governance and sluggish economic recovery, now is the right time for China and Latin America to jointly explore new avenues of cooperation in biotechnology. Given their shared commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and their complementary strengths in technological innovation, he called for both sides to continue deepening dialogue and collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship to jointly address global challenges.

The successful hosting of this inaugural exchange marks an important step by the CPAFFC in implementing the spirit of the Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Latin America Forum.

During their visit to China, the Latin American Youth Entrepreneurs Delegation also attended the World Youth Conference for Peace and traveled to Yiwu, Shanghai, and other cities for further exchanges.
