On July 26, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 11th China-ASEAN Youth Leaders Exchange Festival, co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the China-ASEAN Association, and organized by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Xianyang Municipal Government, and Xi'an Jiaotong University, was successfully held in Xi'an. The Youth Dialogue for Peace, themed "Youth United for Peace of Our Shared Home", took place on the morning of July 27, 2025, at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
Xing Shanping, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC); Yuan Mindao, Vice President of CPAFFC; Wang Li, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee; Yao Hongjuan, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the Shaanxi Province and Executive Vice President of SPAFFC; Xu Yongsheng, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Youth League; Liang Feng, Full-time Vice President of SPAFFC; Sitthiphone Saysana, Vice President of the Laos-China Friendship Association; Lin Ruiren, Vice President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association; Raul L. Lambino, Chairman of Association for Philippine-China Understanding; diplomats from the consulates of Cambodia and Malaysia in Xi'an, and youth representatives and friendship organizations from the ASEAN countries, along with representatives from various relevant departments in Shaanxi Province, attended the event.
Vice President Yuan Mindao expressed that, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of ASEAN countries, China-ASEAN relations have become one of the most successful and dynamic models of regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, serving as a vivid example of the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. The bright future of China-ASEAN relations will be created by the youth. Against the backdrop of the accelerating changes of the century and a complex international landscape, he encouraged the youth to establish a broad worldview, a correct historical perspective, and a sincere "friendship perspective". He called on the youth to promote Asian values centered on peace, cooperation, inclusivity, and integration, and become inheritors of friendly cooperation, pioneers of innovative development, and promoters of mutual learning among civilizations. He urged them to work together and contribute youthful energy to building the China-ASEAN community with a shared future and the community of shared future for mankind.
During the Youth Dialogue for Peace, youth representatives from China and ASEAN countries shared their views on three topics: "Peace and Cultural Exchange", "Peace and Economic Cooperation", and "Peace and Technological Innovation." At the end of the dialogue, the youth representatives, in collaboration with robots, demonstrated a peace scroll written in their respective languages.
During their stay in Shaanxi, over 70 ASEAN youth representatives will visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the China Western AI Innovation Park. They will also experience intangible cultural heritage and engage in in-depth exchanges and mutual learning with Chinese youth.
On July 29, 2025, the ASEAN youth representatives will attend the World Youth Conference for Peace in Beijing, co-hosted by CPAFFC and the All-China Youth Federation, and jointly issue a youth initiative for the maintenance of world peace.
